Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the RLT Nutrition Portal (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including clients and practitioners.

About the Service

The RLT Nutrition Portal is a secure online platform that facilitates nutritional therapy services, including:

• Secure communication between clients and practitioners
• Health questionnaire completion and management
• Food diary tracking and submission
• Document sharing and storage
• Nutritional plan delivery and access
• Appointment management

Service Provider

Nutritional therapy services are provided by Ruth Trimbitas, a qualified Nutritional Therapist registered with:

• Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP)
• Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

Ruth holds appropriate professional indemnity insurance and adheres to the professional standards and code of ethics of these regulatory bodies.

Nature of Nutritional Therapy Services

As a nutritional therapist:

• I am not authorized to diagnose or treat medical conditions
• I provide personalized nutritional and lifestyle guidance to support your health goals
• I work within the scope of practice defined by nutritional therapy regulatory bodies
• No guarantee is made as to the efficacy of any nutritional protocols
• Benefits may vary between clients, even when following similar programmes

User Accounts and Registration

Account Creation

Clients are registered in one of two ways:

• By a practitioner during initial consultation setup
• Through self-registration (if enabled)

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Choosing a strong, unique password
• Enabling multi-factor authentication when available
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Information

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Update your information promptly when it changes
• Provide truthful health information to ensure safe and effective guidance

Client Responsibilities

When using the nutritional therapy services through this portal, you agree to:

• Medical Consultation: Consult your GP regarding any health concerns. Nutritional therapy advice does not replace professional medical advice or treatment
• Inform Healthcare Providers: If under the care of a GP or other medical provider, inform them about nutritional strategies to avoid potential medication interactions
• Disclosure: Keep your nutritional therapist informed about all medical diagnoses, medications, herbal medicines, and supplements you are taking
• Clarification: Contact your practitioner if you have questions about your programme, supplement doses, or duration
• Personal Use Only: Understand that advice provided is specific to you and may not be suitable for others
• Programme Continuation: Contact your practitioner before continuing any supplement programme beyond the agreed period
• Recording Prohibition: Do not record consultations via electronic media without prior written permission

Fees and Payment

Nutritional therapy consultation fees are agreed upon directly between clients and practitioners and are handled outside of this portal. The portal itself is a tool for service delivery and does not process payments.

Specific terms regarding consultation fees, cancellations, and refunds are established in your individual practitioner-client agreement or Terms of Engagement form.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Client information is confidential and protected under UK GDPR compliance. Please see our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Disclosure of client information requires explicit consent or legal mandate, except in cases where:

• There is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others
• Required by law or court order
• Necessary to protect the safety and rights of others

Intellectual Property

All content provided through the portal, including nutritional plans, educational materials, forms, and documents, remains the intellectual property of RLT Nutrition unless otherwise stated.

You may:

• Access and use materials provided for your personal use
• Print or download materials for your own reference

You may not:

• Redistribute, republish, or share materials with others
• Use materials for commercial purposes
• Modify or create derivative works
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other user accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or practitioners
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest user data without consent
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• RLT Nutrition's liability is limited to the fees paid for services rendered
• We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not liable for outcomes resulting from following or not following nutritional recommendations
• We are not responsible for interactions between nutritional recommendations and medications or medical treatments
• We are not liable for technical failures, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control

Note: Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other matters where liability cannot be legally limited.

Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain continuous availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
• Update features and functionality
• Change these Terms with notice to users

We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when possible.

Termination

By You

You may request account closure at any time by contacting ruth@rlt-nutrition.co.uk. Your data will be retained according to our Privacy Policy and legal requirements.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your account is inactive for an extended period
• Required by law or regulatory authorities
• The practitioner-client relationship has ended

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RLT Nutrition from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another user
• Your provision of inaccurate or incomplete health information

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional agreements signed with your practitioner (such as the Consent Form and Terms of Engagement), constitute the entire agreement between you and RLT Nutrition regarding use of the Service.
